Ever since I was a child, I loved spending time with my grandmother. She was loving, sweet and full of wisdom. She wasn’t vociferous but her quiet elegance and assertiveness naturally captured everyone’s attention whenever she made her entrance. It was hard not to be drawn to her soft yet composed gracefulness; however my intrigue with her was not just with her character but her sophisticated style that revealed more class than luxury.

My grandmother grew up in a middle class family that was well established in the community and had business ties with affluent families and government officials. She was raised to always dress impeccably for all occasions; from her head piece to her outfit to her shoes, there’s not one detail not carefully thought out to complete the perfect look. With limited budget, dressing well was not the easiest; it was a challenged that my grandmother mastered that allowed her to look magnificent ever so effortlessly at every family function and business event.

As I grew older, my love for fashion and admiration for my grandmother’s sense of style brought us closer than ever. I learned from her that dressing well does not mean wearing expensive clothes; and simplicity always triumphs over excessive accessorizing. When I craved for an ultra expensive handbag or a pair of stilettos, she would always gently remind me that “true fashion is to be able to put our best face forward without disguising who we are” and "good taste and value comes from styles that is not wasteful and that does not fade in time”.

It is this honesty and purity in my grandmother’s words that fueled the creation of Cénch Couture. My vision is to share this philosophy with women of all statures by creating an affordable brand that fuses contemporary simplicity and classic chic.

Every piece of the Cénch collection is designed with utmost care to ensure it is timeless and everlasting.
